A great article Luay! I think working from home is something that has come to stay after the pandemic. However, it does not work for a leadership role. I lead a team of 10+ and I experienced that no online video-conference tool compares to a personal conversation. And personal conversations are the key to building trust - the essential trait of leadership. In short: I agree with the standpoint that the higher you climb up the ladder, the less you will work from home. Because you have to be present for your team!
